Choose the right composition
Pick an image with enough space around the subject for the product shape. A portrait frame and a wide mug wrap need very different compositions.
Fit before you crop
Use Fit to preserve the whole image. Use Fill when you want the artwork to cover the printable area, then adjust its position so important details stay visible.
Extend the background
When available in the studio, AI background fill can add space around a photo. Inspect the generated areas carefully before applying them, especially around hands, faces, lettering and repeating patterns.
Review the final image
Check each product panel at its actual aspect ratio. Generative fill is an optional editing tool; it does not guarantee an exact reconstruction of anything outside the original image.
