Piping%20Cording%20by%20Susan%20K%20Cleveland%0D%0A1%2F16%22%20Diameter%0D%0A100%20yards%0D%0APolyester%0D%0AThe%20right%20cording%20makes%20all%20the%20difference%20when%20using%20corded%20piping%20in%20quilts.%20This%20cording%20is%20big%20enough%20to%20make%20an%20impact%2C%20but%20small%20enough%20to%20avoid%20bulk%20in%20seams.%20It%20makes%20piping%20with%20just%20the%20right%20amount%20of%20body%20so%20it's%20easy%20to%20work%20with%20but%20doesn't%20add%20stiffness%20to%20a%20quilt.%20Ahhh%2C%20it's%20just%20right!I've%20tried%20cotton%20cording%2C%20but%20it%20clings%20to%20cotton%20fabrics%20and%20makes%20it%20quite%20difficult%20to%20pull%20cording%20into%20the%20fabric's%20fold%20to%20sew%20piping.%20Poly%20is%20just%20a%20bit%20slippery%20so%20this%20is%20much%20easier.I%20recommend%20this%20cording%20for%20making%20piping!%20It%20is%20the%20same%20cording%20included%20in%20the%20Piping%20Hot%20Binding%20kit.%20It%20will%20shrink%20when%20exposed%20to%20extreme%20heat%20and%20moisture%2C%20so%20I%20suggest%20steaming%20it%20with%20an%20iron%20before%20making%20piping.%20Many%20quilters%20report%20their%20irons%20don't%20make%20hot%20enough%20steam%20to%20shrink%20this%20cording%20and%20that's%20OK.%20It%20won't%20shrink%20later%20when%2Fif%20the%20quilt%20is%20blocked%20with%20the%20same%20iron!
